Chatting over a coffee with my husband, we were noting how many couples we have come across lately with kids who have left the Christian faith or have temporarily stepped away. It sparked a discussion about our kids and what we want to make sure to focus on while they are still in our care.
My major takeaway builds off of a prior goal: for my kids to have left the nest having read the whole Bible at least one time. But I have now modified it a bit, I want to teach them the importance of it. Our kids need to know to be like the Bereans and challenge EVERYTHING against the Word of God, in it’s entirety.

As a free gift for being a member of the Bible Gateway Blogger Grid, I sure was drawn in with the fresh and clean look of the dust-jacket. The front is simple and elegant while the back offers a features list that puts to shame most devotionals for women or any other Bible in terms of what is all included.
One thing I love as someone who writes in her Bible is the space along the side to take notes, write out prayers, or rewrite a verse that really struck out to me.

God has given parents an incredible opportunity to teach about Him! We are gifted our children, each one a miracle of life, and have a role to play in their lives greater than any secular calling could ever amount to.
Our first mission field is our family, and this book can easily help train up women ready to battle the culture’s lies by building a solid foundation on the Word of God.
We cannot guarantee our kids’ future inheritance, only God knows their hearts. But guiding them in truth as their Christian guardians will be remembered throughout our kids’ lives, regardless of their life choices.
