We all know as Christians the best thing we can offer our kids is a solid foundation in the Lord. To watch them leave the nest with sure footing and faith in God would be of utmost comfort. I know I was in need of a family Bible plan! If you’ve followed along so far this year, we are just getting into Deuteronomy… not a problem, start now in Genesis as all of the information is already posted. You can start by bookmarking our Family Bible Plan page to read the weekly post so you don’t miss anything!
It struck me when my oldest turned 9 that my job with him was half over. Had I done my job correctly? Had I missed his heart? Was he going to leave in 9 years not knowing more than what I had taught him already?
This got me to thinking over the next couple years as I tried a couple of different things with my kids. I realized I was approaching it wrong (for our family). I had finished my second Bible read through and felt so confident in the Lord.
- My faith was being built up through the timing of the Word and life circumstances,
- My love for God and recognition of His love for me, my trust in His faithfulness,
- etc.
It was one of the best decisions of my life! Why wouldn’t I pass that same blessing on to my family?!
That’s when it struck me, the best thing I can offer my children is to guide them in reading through the Bible in its entirety. I created a simple plan to follow that includes:
- A question, discussion, or point to ponder for each chapter
- Easy to read
- Chapter by chapter
- Checklist
- Dates to track your journey
- Two designs to choose from
Whether you have young kids at home, teenagers, or an empty nest, I invite you to join me as we start the journey to strengthen our families. Starting this year my blog will focus on 7 chapters at a time. We will {eventually} work our way through the entire Bible! It will take a long time at this rate, but that isn’t the point of this. Plus, there’s no better time than to start now!
With that, I invite you to download my Genesis pack for free and open the Bible with your kids (young or old). Give them the best gift you can this year: the Family Bible Plan.

Amazing goal for a family! It always surprises me to hear how many adults have never made.it all the way through the Bible.
