I’ll Enter into Light – When Trials Seem Too Heavy

I’ll enter into light. Is there a much greater confirmation on this earth that we could hope for at the end of our lives?

I'll enter into light.

There are many painful paths we sometimes must follow. When we think about the sovereignty of God, choose to see Him in the details. Look hard as you are traversing these hurdles and SEE the way He is leading you. Let go and let God guide your heart to trust Him. It is not easy, it is full of baby steps. Tumbling backward but never leaving your eyes off Heaven will more gracefully land you closer to His heart.

The value of what was learned about God during these times holds a priceless comparison to the pain. Click To Tweet

For me, there was (and still is) a steep learning curve as we walked through arduous trials; ones in which I witnessed threats against stability, marriage, family, health, employment, and more. Each difficulty caused deep consideration and consolation. The value of what was learned about God during these times holds a priceless comparison to the pain.

If you have been on your knees, pleading with God for a different result, or found yourself weeping without the words to even express your deep grief over your situation. Seek God. Seek Him through His Word and pour into it as though it is the only thing that can save you. He will use it to teach your heart to trust Him, lean on Him, and find comfort in Him.

Rather recently, we experienced a very bleak season, I took a break and went to my favorite spot to process the raw emotions that were overwhelming. I enjoy writing so I wrote down some thoughts as I reminded myself of His goodness and faithfulness to me. He has never failed. He is always good. His kindness and mercy are blessings I do not deserve. Remind yourself of His Truth when you can’t get past your own thoughts about your situation.

Your creation boasts your name
and I ought to do the same.

If I refuse to be your herald
my heart’s revealed, I am in peril.

I am now fully sealed within my heart
though You weren’t sought from the start.

I had kept You as an undercurrent in my life
til You gently led me through much strife.

Your hand was faithfully guiding me
as You began opening my eyes to see.

For the first time I sought only You
because finally nothing else would do.

My earthly treasures slipped far away
the trials, the losses all led me to pray.

You taught me through this that faith is learned
it is not mastered, not claimed, not earned.

The journey You led invoked a new trust,
I truly understood this path was a must.

Thank You, oh thank you, for the gift of sight
Assurance confirms, I’ll enter into light.

I’ll enter into light.

  1. So grateful that Jesus “leaves the light on for us” so we can find our way there, no matter how rough the journey to peaceful acceptance might be.
I’m reminded of Amy Carmichael’s words: “In acceptance lieth peace.”
